You can just bet your ass I’m going to get my hands on the new beta of Adobe Lightroom (press release, announcement, and review). It’s the first publicly released product from the new Adobe Labs (reviewed). The development story behind Lightroom is pretty interesting, too.

I’m sorry, Jeff.. I was hearing the train wreck where-are-we-going-who-gets-to-work-on-this stories while I was there, and the dev history article just irked me by bringing it all back and sounding “fun” or something.
It is Not that Hard to Make a New Product. I firmly believe that. If they’d been on the ball with it, it wouldn’t now be on the heels of Aperture.
Not that I wouldn’t be trying it if I had a Mac.
