Friends, I need all your best thoughts and wishes tomorrow when I call LaCie tech support.
I bought a nice big external hard drive to make backups of the 150-or-so GB of photographs that I scanned over the last six years, as well as backups of all the rest of my “iLife.” But then today, about three weeks after I connected the network attached drive to my router, *POOF*! Both the originals and the backups are gone.
I’m usually pretty good at fixing computer problems — I even did tech support for two years — but data problems are crazy scary. Hopefully they can help me “find” my data before I have to send both drives off to the expensive data salvage people. . . .
*Whimper*
At least I still use film.
