I believe reasonable people can have an honest disagreement about this issue without name-calling. And I'm disappointed in myself that I let my frustration get the better of me. But I got over it and moved on to trying to find solutions.

At least we can agree that the healthcare system in the US needs improvement.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/health/healthnews/7530895/Ambulance-service-gets-38-for-every-patient-they-dont-take-to-hospital.html

This is part of the reason people don't want the government telling them how to live. You bleeding heart liberals just love to be self riteous. Way to take one from the pages of Bill Mayer.

At least he outright says he knows what's best for everyone else instead of pretenting they'er acting in the defense of poor people.

There's a difference between saying that there are areas where our system needs improvement, and saying that the government needs to take over and tell us what to do. (Explative) that.

Hi Jeff,
Well said! I've often thought that healthcare insurance being part of the employment process is a bad idea. But , I guess it was necessary for the pool, so a mandate would be good.

Open competition among all 50 states and no dropping of any kind are good, but the gouging of the insurance companies by the medical industry is not. I agree, more should be done to address that issue.

Also, the government should do more to combat fraud. I went to a chiropractor last month. He charged me $40.00, (the going rate), and then turned right around and charged Medicare $50.00. They sent him a letter,(and me one, too), saying that they do not cover that, since I only have part A. I'll never go back to that guy; he is a crook. But that kind of thing goes on all the time!
See ya! Dad
