This morning, finally and at long last, Bernard Farrell (@BernardF on Twitter) and I met. He was one of the first people with diabetes that I found online. I really appreciated his commitment to diabetes technology, and I was eager enough to see this fellow Bay Stater that I put meeting him on my 101 Things in 1001 Days list.
It was definitely worth the wait! We will have to do it again.

Awesome! Another fantastical D-meetup takes place! Glad the two of you finally got the chance.
Sara: I’m actually wearing a pin; you just can’t see it hiding near my lapel. Giving me a few of them was one of the first things that Bernard did after we met.
I love D-meetups! They are fantastic all on their own, but even better when it’s someone you’ve communicated with for a while or someone you look up to in the D-community. Yay!
